Confidence: Don’t Leave Home Without It

Published by robinmarie at 12:32 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

 What Do You See?

I have a friend who can put on anything and look amazing in it. At least, that’s what the rest of us think. She puts things together that most people would never dream of wearing at all - and definitely not at the same time. Her mother used to say, “I would just go into the store and pick out the ugliest things I could find, because I knew she would love them.” But it works for her.

At least it did. A few weeks ago, things in her life escalated to an ultimate low. As a result, the way she sees herself has made her wear clothes that weren’t working for her. They were the same clothes, but she was feeling so bad about herself and about life that it was reflected in everything from the way she carried herself to the way she wore her clothes. Then, something happened, and my friend is now back to dressing in her usual style.

The only thing that changed is her confidence. She realized that the things that were going on weren’t her fault. She’s back to wearing clothes that maker her happy and make other people envy her.

The great part? The most expensive shirt she currently owns was on sale for only $10. Her favorite she purchased for $0.25.

Clothes are just clothes and you can wear whatever you want and still look amazing. Confidence, though is something that is irreplaceable. You can be wearing a million-dollar dress but not look as good as someone in a $15 hand-me-down skirt if you’re not confident in yourself.
